Rainbow Assembly # 125

Winter Wishes from Gilroy Rainbow

As I write this update, it is windy, raining, hailing, and there’s even a tornado warning in our area.  It’s hard to concentrate with so much atmospheric excitement!

This month has seen the end of the Christmas season and the beginning of a new year.  At Christmas, we were unable to do our usual gift wrapping at Walmart because Walmart employees told us to leave when we showed up that morning.  After Mrs. Conti wrote the Dispatch about what happened, we received a very nice apology from Walmart.  We will try again next year.

For our meeting on Christmas week, we met at the lodge for a short business meeting, and then we had pizza in downtown San Jose and visited Christmas in the Park.  Some of our sisters from San Jose met us there and my dad and Mr. Jones came along too.

In January, we met with Mr. Jones again and other members of Keith Lodge and Magnolia Chapter for a lodge clean-up day.  We cleaned out our closets and helped tidy up the kitchen.  A lot of stuff was taken to Goodwill, and our trash dumpster was super full.  The lodge looks great, and we had fun being together and eating pizza.  I can’t wait to do it again in a few months.

Please note that our meeting nights are changing in the future.  We will start meeting on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays starting on February 3.  Our Installation will be February 3 at 6:00, with our regular meeting to follow.  Our incoming Worthy Advisor is Heather Brodersen. Check our website for more details about who is going to be installed in which offices.  Also, my farewell meeting will be January 26 at 7:00 p.m.  It will be open mic night, so if you want to share a song, poetry, etc., please do.

Thank you for supporting Gilroy Rainbow!

Rainbow Love,
Mandy Stanley, Worthy Advisor
