Worthy Matron’s Message

Happy Valentines Day!  I hope this version of the Trestle Board finds you and yours happy, healthy, warm and dry!

Come and get them!  The 2010 calendars have arrived they are $3.00 each.   January’s meeting was held on the 14th and was preceded by our first Monterey Bay Association meeting.  Needless to say we had a very busy night.   Thank you Kathryn and Julie for helping me with the dinner, I could not have done it with out you.  Another special thank you to to Sister Marion for all of the preparation work that she does prior to every meeting.  Thanks to Marion, we were able to get through  the plethora  of unfinished and new business during our meeting in a very timely manner.  Thanks Marion!

Our next stated meeting will be on Feb. 11. 2010 and we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day in style, so wear your favorite red dress!  The next Monterey Bay Association meeting will be on Wed. Feb 17th at Wild Lily Chapter in Soquel at 6:00PM.  Dinner will be provided.  Anyone is welcome to come to the meeting and to stay for Wild Lily’s Friendship Night. I am sure we will have a blast!    The O.V. of the W.G.M. and W.G.P. is on Sunday Feb. 28th at 1:00PM.  All officers are asked to attend.  I will be sending out more information on our practice, what to wear and what we will be doing as soon as I receive the information.

The workday at Keith Hall on Saturday Jan.9th was a success.  Not only did we have a good time, it was great to see all  branches of our Masonic Family working together and taking care of our home.  A  special thank you goes out to Kathryn Burns, Marjie and Bud Burchell and Julie Bradbury for all of their hard work and talent.  The kitchen looks great!   The next work day is scheduled for Saturday, April 3rd.  Be sure to mark your calendars, you don’t want to miss the fun!   For those of you who don’t know Kathryn Burns has agreed to chair a committee who will be cooking dinner for the members of Keith Lodge prior to all of their degrees.  Members who are interested in helping Kathryn should let her know.  We will also be helping the members of Keith Lodge with their “Coming Home” event which will be held on Monday Feb. 1st.  Magnolia Chapter has agreed to prepare the salad and vegetables and help in the kitchen.  Members  interested in helping should contact James, Kathryn or myself for more information.

Magnolia Chapter is missing petitions and other important historical documentation.  Anyone who knows or think they might know where the missing documents are is encouraged to contact myself  at 408-848-0549 or our Secretary Marion Smith at 408-779-9598.  Your help in finding these important materials is much appreciated.

This last piece of news is the part of the job that I like least.  I am very sorry to report that Mildred Hanna passed away last week.  Her memorial service has not been scheduled as of yet.  I will send out more information pertaining to Mildred’s memorial service as soon as I receive word.  Mildred and Sandoe Hanna have long been members of Magnolia Chapter and have been active participants in the Keith Lodge Masonic Family for many many years.  Mildred’s absence will be noted, she will be missed.

Star Love,
Elise Alexander
