Gilroy Rainbow Assembly #125
Gilroy Rainbow is under new leadership! Well, a new Worthy Advisor. First, to start off the New Year and term was the Installation of Officers. The theme was “The Beauty of a Peacock is Nothing Compared to the Love of Rainbow.” I discussed how I feel a love that I will never feel anywhere else but Rainbow and how I felt a connection with my grandmother Dorthea Brodersen, who was a Rainbow Girl Mother Advisor. There were 4 girls installed into new offices, and we would love to make that more for the next term. So if anyone knows of any potential members, we would love to hear from them.
In other news, Grand Assembly is coming up soon for our girls. This will be held in Fresno, California as it is every year and this is what most of the money we earn at the Garlic Festival goes toward. We are all very excited for this 4 day trip. We have initiation, Installation of Officers, Revelations, and even a dance that happens for all Rainbow Girls to go to. Same dress for 4 days and all of the girl’s together bonding – we can’t wait!
We are hopefully going to go to the Crisis Nursery in Concord to volunteer our time. The Crisis Nursery is the whole state’s Grand Service Project for which all of Rainbow earns money, and the money raised is presented at Grand Assembly. Then, possibly after we volunteer, we will visit the Technology Museum near Concord, which has the Star Wars exhibit currently on display that all of us Rainbow Girls will really appreciate.
Thank you for supporting Gilroy Rainbow!
Rainbow Love,
Heather Brodersen, Worthy Advisor
